The external gear pump is a widely used gear pump, which uses the change in working volume formed between two meshing gears to transport liquid. The structure of the gear pump is very simple. It is generally composed of two gears, a pump body, and front and rear covers. The inside of the housing is similar to a figure eight. The outer diameter and both sides of the two gears are closely matched with the housing. When the gears rotate, the gear on the side of the gear disengagement exits between the teeth, so that the volume of the space becomes smaller and larger to form a partial vacuum.
The external liquid is sucked into the teeth under the action of atmospheric pressure. As the gear rotates, the space between the teeth changes from large to small. The liquid sucked between the teeth is carried to the other side, on the other side of the gear. The gears mesh, and the volume in the enclosed space gradually decreases, so that the liquid is squeezed out.
Simply put, it is the side where the gear is disengaged. As the volume of the enclosed space becomes larger to form a vacuum, oil is continuously sucked from the oil tank, and the enclosed volume on the side of the gear meshing decreases continuously to discharge oil.
